Held in your home, within the rhythm of your real life, they’re about capturing this season before it shifts.
The way you hold their face in your hands, the way they tuck into your chest, slow mornings in the kitchen, milk-drunk cuddles, bath time giggles, sunlight through the hallway, washing swaying in the yard.

Mini Sessions FAQ’s
-
On the day, I will rock up with my camera in hand and for 30 minutes we are just going to have connected, fun family time!
If you think you are going to feel a little ‘lost’ I don’t want you to worry - I have lots of prompts and games to help foster those natural, authentic interactions if needed.
I won’t leave you hanging not knowing what to do with those “awkward” hands!!
You’ll be surprised by what we can capture in 30 minutes, but also, how quickly time passes. So if you have a reluctant family member who doesn’t think they can last a whole session, this is a perfect solution to getting them in the photo with you!

To book your mini session:
Email subscribers will receive first access to the booking link on Monday 16th March at 8pm. Any remaining sessions will be released to the public on Tuesday 17th March at 8pm.
Once you access the booking link, you’ll need to pay the full session fee upfront to confirm your spot. Please note that $150 of the total fee is non-refundable (see the cancellation policy).
After payment, you will receive a contract and pre-session questionnaire via email. Your session will not proceed until both are completed.
If the questionnaire is not submitted on time, your session time will be allocated based on your location.
-
Navigating multiple home sessions in one day requires careful logistical planning. While you’ll be able to select a time during booking, please note that this time is a placeholder only (it’s a limitation of the booking system—annoying, I know!?).
I will confirm your actual mini-session start time two weeks before the shoot, taking into account the distance between each household. Although I’ll consider your preferences around routines, adjustments may need to be made to balance all clients on the day.
If you don’t respond to your pre-session questionnaire, your session time will be allocated based on your location.
-
Each day is capped a six (6) home visits. As I am travelling across a large area, this means that there are only 6 sessions available per designated location.
-
Immediate family, family pets or those who live with you (no extended family as there just isn't enough time to balance everyone's desires in a short period of time in an in-home environment).
-
Trust me when I say this: we can make it work. There has yet to be a home that has been 'unworthy' and so many of my full length in-home session happen in what would be considered 'tiny apartments'
It might just be hanging near a window or taking a pause outside. We could even hang a sheet on a clothesline to hide something you don’t want to remember. We've got the stairwell, the front porch, the neighbourhood!
Home sessions are fun because no home is the same, which allows so many creative solutions to constraints.
-
If enough interest is received for sessions outside the designated areas, I would love to travel to more homes if distance and demand align. This mini-offering only works on several sessions in one day. A small travel fee may apply.
-
Whatever makes you feel comfortable, cosy, and like you. That’s the beauty of in-home sessions , they are relaxed and you can wear your favourite knit, jeans, or even stay in your PJs if that’s the vibe (honestly, it often is). No need to dress up unless you want to.
If we’re shooting outdoors, I’d recommend layering with textured fabrics, and keeping everyone snug - think comfort first, always.
And don’t worry, I won’t leave you hanging - my pre-shoot guide includes some easy tips and inspo if you want a bit more direction.
-
My Pre-Shoot guide and questionnaire will help, and I am so happy to guide you. We are only together for 30 minutes so we really don't need to plan anything other than just being excited to be together. If you'd like to rely on me to completely direct in this time, I am 100% happy to do this!
But, I do want you to think about something you want to revisit with your little ones to make these sessions extra meaningful to you.
It can be as simple as playing on the floor with the kids, smooching at the front door or sitting at the window sharing your dreams for them.
-
There are two upgrade options: purchase 5 additional images (10 total) for $90 or upgrade the entire gallery for images for $180 (30+ images).
-
If you’re looking for beautiful beach photos at a golden hour or photos where everyone is smiling perfectly at the camera, these mini-sessions are not for you.
Think of our 30 minutes together as a time to document scenes of motherhood at home and that can be raw, gritty, chaotic and deeply beautiful.
-
Due to the unpredictable nature of newborns, 30 minutes is not enough time to cover the details of a newborn session (these run for up to 2 hours).
However, this would be suitable for capturing a scene of what life was like at that time for you and your precious mini.
-
Duh, of course your fur children are welcome!
-
The beauty of home sessions is that, in almost all cases, sessions go ahead as planned. If the plan was to spend time outside, please have a wet weather back up option available or be prepared to have some fun in the rain!
-
If you cancel 7 or more days before your session, you’ll receive a full refund of the balance, but the $150 non-refundable retainer will be kept to cover the reserved session date.
If you cancel less than 7 days before the session, both the retainer and balance are forfeited. However, you can apply the full amount as a credit toward a future full session or a seasonal-only mini session, valid for 12 months.

How cool that would be to document that period in between?! I really don't think this should deter you - it should excite you about how unique and fun those photos could be. Under construction spaces and some empty rooms - I feel excited just thinking about how creative we can get.
