This depends on your home, but we’ll strike a balance between your family’s schedule (like nap times) and when your home gets the best natural light. Don’t worry if your space doesn’t feel bright—I’ll find the perfect pockets of light to work with, no matter the time of day.

Your home doesn’t need to be magazine-ready. It’s all about capturing your family as you are—mid-reno, toys scattered, or embracing cozy chaos. The focus is on your connection, not your surroundings.

We’ll chat about your family’s rhythm and how you’d like your story captured. I’ll provide a preshoot questionnaire and pre-shoot guide to tailor the session specifically to you. We’ll also have a pre-shoot call so you feel completely comfortable and prepared beforehand.

Be comfortable and true to yourself. I don’t follow a specific aesthetic, and you don’t need to wear soft neutrals (though they’re lovely and totally okay too!). Play with complementary colors and textures—whatever reflects your personality. I’ll send a detailed guide with tips for coordinating outfits without looking overly "matchy."

Absolutely! I love exploring new places and would be delighted to come to your home. Travel within the Northern Beaches and North Shore is included in my base packages, with a small additional fee for homes outside these areas.

From July 2025, I’ll be offering weekend sessions just one weekend per month. These weekend in-home sessions will be limited to families living on the Northern Beaches, and outdoor sessions will take place at select locations on the Upper Northern Beaches. As I’m based in Palm Beach, this approach helps me build a more sustainable rhythm around my own family life. If you’re flexible, I have much greater weekday availability across all session types and would love to find a time that works for you.

This is completely normal, and I’m prepared for it. Kids feel most comfortable in their own space, and we’ll go at their pace. Whether they need snack breaks, a moment to warm up, or time to play, we’ll work around it—and often those unscripted moments are the most precious.

If you have windows, we’ve got light! I’ll use my expertise to find the best spots, whether it’s near a window, in a doorway, or a cozy corner. Beautiful photos don’t rely on perfect lighting—they rely on authentic moments.

Absolutely! Pets are family too, and they bring so much personality to your photos. Whether they’re full of energy or just want to lounge around, they’ll be part of your story.

In-home sessions usually last 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives us plenty of time to capture both posed and candid moments without any rush.

Big or small, your home is perfect. Some of the most meaningful photos are taken in the simplest spaces—a cozy couch, a kitchen nook, or even the kids’ playroom.

It happens—it’s part of life, and it’s completely okay. We’ll pause, take a break, and reset. Often, these moments lead to the most meaningful photos, whether it’s a quiet cuddle or a playful distraction

There’s no need for a deep clean or redecorating. Just tidy up the spaces you’d like photographed and open the blinds or curtains to let in some natural light. The focus will always be on your family’s connection, not the state of your home.

I lightly edit to enhance natural light and color, but I don’t do heavy retouching. I believe in keeping your images true to life while showcasing your family’s authenticity.

I recommend booking as early as possible, especially if you have a specific date or season in mind. I only shoot one weekend a month, with the rest of my sessions on weekdays, so my calendar fills quickly. Let’s find a time that works perfectly for you!
